I’ve been worried about Tux, the duck with the white chest, so I went to the Brighton millpond today and photographed him in action. As you can see, he’s very active. Also note how at least two ducks bully him. One of those is the same duck that grabbed him in a photo previously posted. I’m feeling better about him today. You can see how active he is, and his wings aren’t drooping as much. I think he’s been suffering from a virus or is having difficulty with the cold weather. The high today was 27 so it was a little warmer.
Willaby is also shown in the video on the right. He’s not as friendly as Tux because he knows he’s at a disadvantage when on land, but I can approach him if I do it slowly while tossing him some duck chow. You can see that he has some difficulty with balance, but he does very well with his broken hip and looks healthy. I’m sure the extra attention of us duck feeders helps him along.
Forgive the dirt you see on the sensor of my camera. I’m told it will cost $150-200 to clean it and it only shows up when I do videos. I don’t think it’s worth the money to have it done.

Love the videos! When the speakers came on, made me jump back in my seat!
What a racket they make! What a contrast from these quiet ducks just floating around. Thanks!
