Play 2016 Fringo!

A game for those visiting the Brighton millpond: Take pictures of any frog you find at the pond. Make sure it’s from the right side, preferably a 3/4 front view, like this photo.

Frog photographed 4/21/14The first person (including me!) who photographs the SAME frog as one pictured on this page wins! I’ll post millpond frogs when I find them so visit this page often to see if your frog matches. If you match one, email me its picture: info [at]

Frog Hunting Hints: Frogs come onshore on warm, humid mornings and evenings. It was 70 degrees and humid as rain approached when I found the first frog of 2014 on the millpond trail. In the evenings, you can sometimes find frogs under street lamps where they wait to gobble flying insects attracted to the lights.

What will you win?
You’ll win two things, maybe three!
1. Bragging rights
2. My undying admiration
3. A pound of duck chow (if I have a dollar in my pocket that week)

The frogs you find might match those photographed in previous years so check 20132014 and 2015 Fringo results!

You'll find information about the resident ducks, birds, and critters residing at the Brighton millpond. I slip in my art and poetry, but my photography of wildlife and plants is the primary focus.
